The Department of Computer Science at Lakehead University invites
applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment at the assistant professor
level focusing on computational health informatics, commencing August 1, 2015.
Preference will be given to those candidates with a strong background and
interest in both teaching and research in one or more of following areas: Cloud
computing; big data and parallel computing; Web technologies and other computer
science areas and experience that support computational aspects of health
The successful candidate is expected to develop and market
curricula in support of computational health informatics with the goal of
measurably increasing student recruitment in this area along with initiating an
externally funded research program and contributing to the supervision of
graduate students in our MSc. Program. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science.
