An on-going initiative for our Office is development and implementation of a chemical safety program on campus.  This program will include policies, procedures and training which are already in place, as well as, areas yet to be developed.   An important first step in this program will be to outfit all spaces that contain hazardous materials with appropriate signage.  The new signage with be a reference for security, housekeeping and emergency personnel in the event of an emergency.   

 

A memorial wall for the laboratory personnel who have been killed in laboratory accidents over the last 100 years is maintained by the Laboratory Safety Institute.
